GROCERY GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR THE CAMPBELL FAMILY
Support Victoria’s Molly Campbell (“Baby Molly”) and her family while she is in Memphis, TN being treated at St. Jude’s for her leukemia.
Dear supporters of the Campbell family
We moved to Memphis from Victoria for a 3 year period while my husband went to school (2008-2011). We lived in the same neighborhood in Memphis where the Campbell family will be staying, located just minutes away from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where Molly is being treated for her leukemia.
The most challenging part of living in this particular neighborhood is getting groceries. The nearest grocery store is a 10-15 minute drive away and to be honest, not the greatest grocery store to begin with. We often drove over 30 minutes to get the bulk of our groceries. We also shopped at Miss Cordelia’s, a local grocer located right in our neighborhood. They have everything you could possibly need for groceries, including a deli where you can purchase amazing take-out meals (made from scratch in-house), sandwiches, etc. Extremely convenient! Only problem- Convenience often comes with a pricetag.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
2 WAYS:
OPTION 1: I spoke to the manager of Miss Cordelia’s (Mike) this morning and we came up with an idea. Anyone wanting to support the Campbells can call Miss Cordelia’s and purchase a gift certificate in the Campbell’s name. Miss Cordelia’s will accept credit card payment over the phone. Every time a gift certificate is purchased for the Campbell family, it will be placed in an envelope in the staff room and held for them until they come in to the store.
OPTION 2: The Campbells have a trust account set up at Canadian Western Bank at 1201 Douglas Street in Victoria, BC. You can help support their family by making a contribution to this account! If you live out-of-town, the phone number to the bank is (250) 383-1206 to see how you can arrange a contribution.
I was in living in Memphis when Molly was first diagnosed with leukemia. I remember hearing about all the wonderful fundraising that was being done in Victoria to help this family. I was amazed at how the community rallied behind this little girl and her family and I can’t help but think we can show our support for the Campbell’s once again, even from miles away!
With gratitude-
Colette Hopkins

BABY MOLLY FUNDRAISER AT KOFFI – Auction on March 2, 2013
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Most of you have heard about Baby Molly and her fight with cancer. Baby Molly is no longer a baby. She is a sweet 2 year old girl who has recently relapsed with a rare form of leukemia. In order to treat Molly’s illness the Campbell family has had to relocate to Memphis, Tennessee. At St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis Molly is receiving a second transplant.
There is additional hardship this time around as Molly’s dad, Dave, is off work with no income and the siblings have been separated. The two oldest of the five Campbell children are living in Victoria being cared for by their Grandparents, while the rest of the family are living in Memphis to be close to Molly.
What we are asking for are donations of new goods or services to be auctioned off and for people to spread the word about the auction so we have an amazing turn out of bidders on March 2nd.! Thank you for your support!
Two years ago Victoria showed what a kind and generous community the Campbells are part of. Let’s show Molly and her family that we are still there for them!!!
