Day minus 5 and counting!

We are so happy to have this site and the caring bridge site up and running again and really appreciate the messages of support. Molly is doing really good. She had to get a blood transfusion today, but for the most part she has been doing really good. She has done about 50 laps of the ward so far and one of her favourite things to do in the morning is go for a run around the halls. She is absolutely taking after her big sister Emma (and her Mom) We are focussed on transplant day(s) on Wednesday – Thursday and we are  expecting Molly will start to get sicker in the up coming weeks. Right now we are enjoying the small moments in each day like playing hide and seek in the halls. (Molly is at a bit of a disadvantage with her massive tower sticking out everywhere.) Molly has been making the most of her days getting up early and staying up late. She is still proving to have more energy than both of us. We are starting to get into the swing of things around here. Transplant here is very different than back home. We are on a transplant ward so there is no being isolated to just your room. Molly is able to run the halls and spend time in the wards playroom throughout her entire transplant. She is really enjoying her freedom although she misses her swings and siblings and asks for them daily. (no kids under 7 yrs allowed to visit)  We are really looking forward to the twins coming down so they can visit with Molly (and we all miss them terribly)

So Happy shes being doing well and able to play and run the halls. It would be so hard for her to stay in her room, so glad she doesn’t have too. Sounds like shes been tiring her parents but I bet you enjoy every moment. I will be saying extra prayers for her and u all on Wed-Thursday and the days and weeks that follow. I know she is expected to get really sick but I hope that she doesn’t. Its sad that her sisters can’t come visit but it will be nice when the twins visit and she gets to see them. Good thing she has siblings that are over 7. Love the pic you posted Dave she is the sweetest and prettiest lil 2 year old. Bald is beautiful and she rocks it well:) she is beautiful with or without hair. I bet she is smiling underneath that mask. Praying Rebekah is staying healthy for the transplant. Sending lots of Canadian love to the US for you all.

    Praying always
