Not much has changed over the past week or so. Molly’s bone marrow aspiration went smoothly and preliminary results showed no sign of disease. We are so thankful her marrow is still very empty. The doctors feel the virus that she has/ had and the measures that were taken to get it under control, actually stopped any engraftment from her first set of cells. So molly received another dose of Rebekah’s stem cells last Friday and we have been waiting anxiously for these cells to fill her marrow. The results of that chimerism came back at 95% donor 2 (Rebekah’s cell), 3% Molly & 2% donor 1. And just today her most recent chimerism shows 97% donor 2 and 3% Molly. Her t-cells (helper cells) came back at 100% Rebekah so her cells and marrow seem to be moving in the right direction. The doctors are treating her for a mild case of VOD and seem to be fairly happy with her progress so far. They did say that she will get even sicker before she gets better and we should not be surprised if we end up in the ICU over the next little while. They told us we should be in patient for at least a couple more weeks. She is still spending all day in bed, mostly sleeping and has not fealt like any visits from her Kids. Her sibs are really missing her so we are hoping in the next few days she will feel like a visit with them. We are so very appreciative for the incredible support from family and friends back home, who are planning a Garage Sale at the middle of the month to help us financially. We are all very sad to be missing this weekends ChildRun for BCCH and will be rooting Team Molly and all the participants on from Memphis, TN and we will try to watch the festivities on Global TV.
